Just in case anyone is interested in the backgrounds of the seven retired

* I took a personal interest in seeing who the men were behind the joint statement regarding the oath and duty of those serving their country in the military or in government to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution. Alan dismissed their statement and their sincerity as patriots by reducing them to nothing but political pawns. I thought it would be worth a look at their service to their country given their disparagement in this forum. Just thought that I would share with anyone interested in these individual men, all of whom achieved the highest military rank of four stars. It's so easy to smear with a broad brush that I thought some added detail was in order.
