For those who read this forum and are presented with a preface like "For those whom [sic] do not know, which I suspect includes many here" or "I explained this once before in the past, but here we go again", there is a notable degree of possibility that the author, seeking to share their enlightenment, will offer you a superficial and ill-informed treatise served from a container of Kool-Aid loaded with artificial ingredients and garnished with a twist of narrow ideology. Notwithstanding the minutes of extensive research in which the author has invested their time, I would suggest, at a minimum, careful scrutiny before consuming and looking for a broader and deeper presentation with some balance and nuance as a better alternative for refreshing the mind.

This is the best concise explanation of critical race theory I have heard.

Teaching history: World War II vets received many benefits under the GI Bill.

Teaching history with CRT: Teaching that black veterans were specifically excluded from these benefits..

The government helped some GIs !  Sound like socialism to me. You can see why Florida wouldn't want to expose their kids to that kind of thinking.

More from the morons and Karen's <g>

A Nevada conservative
group wants teachers to wear
body cameras to ensure
they don't teach "critical
race theory." Karen England,
founder of the Nevada Family
Alliance, says she's received
reports of teachers 'contra-
dicting the lessons taught by
parents at home," particularly
on race, and that bodycams
would create "a record that
could be viewed by appropri-
ate parties.*

Only in America section of "The Week" magazine.

But how will they be able to identify it? I think if the teacher never says "This is CRT" they would be none the wiser.
Although the thought of Republicans reviewing countless hours of high school class video is actually not a bad idea. Especially for history and civics. Maybe some grammar wouldn't hurt either. Definitely science!

C-SPAN has released their latest Presidential Historians Survey. They collect survey results after each president leaves office. Biden will not be included until his time as president has concluded. The historians rate each president assessing their effectiveness on a 1 to 10 scale for each of several qualities of presidential leadership. The survey responses result in a score that then ranks the presidents by effectiveness in office. C-SPAN makes an extra effort to include a broad representation across the political spectrum in the 142 historians that responded to the survey.

There have been *44 people to hold the office of president over the years concluding with Trump's term. Of those 44 presidents, Trump's score ranks him at 41st place. Trump ranks dead last in the categories of "Administrative Skills" and "Moral Authority". If you have an interest in a deeper look at the details of the ratings and ranking, you can find those listed by presidential sequence here or by overall ranking and score here. The methodology and survey participants are also available at the links provided.

* Although Trump is referred to as the "45th" president, he is the 44th person to hold the office. This is because Grover Cleveland is counted twice as both the 22nd and 24th president due to the fact that his two terms in office were not consecutive.

Unsurprising and chuckle-worthy. Too bad all the <insert usual suspects here> have run for the hills.  Their comments would have been entertaining.

Thanks for drawing this to our attention.

You lefties are doing just fine all by yourselves in your echo-chamber.

It takes one to know one.

Congratulations! 500 pages of drivel and B$!

Above are your most recent contributions to the discussion Frans. Which do you feel brought us the most enlightenment?

I will take the opportunity to thank you for reminding me of my youth with your "It takes one to know one" post. I don't think that I've heard anyone use that expression since my age turned to double digits back in those elementary school days.

That's not an echo you're hearing Frans. It's just you repeating yourself.
