How can such a butt-plug get elected?

Marjorie Taylor Green, Madison Crawthorn, Josh Hawley, Kristi Noem, Ron Desantis, Greg Abbott -- the list of "butt-plugs" that the Republicans have foisted on us goes on and on. As to how they get elected? Beats me.

I hope that Trump supporters feel partially responsible for the invasion of Ukraine by Russia?

Because they should.

The inconditionnel support provided by Trump to Putine is one of the elements that has contributed to the current situation.

Both are bullies and liars, and both have about 50% support of their country population.

Wrong. At the end of his term Trump's approval was 34%. The lowest on record, by the way.

Biden has nominated an eminently qualified judge, Ketanji Brown Jackson, to the Supreme Court. From my reading, she has a sterling record that the GOP will be hard put to use against her. It will be a welcome change from the last two appointments, Kavanaugh the serial perjurer and Barrett the unqualified.

Brown Jackson has had more years of judicial experience (9 years) than Cony Barrett (2.99), Roberts (2.33), Thomas (1.63) and Kagan (0) combined.
She's undergone three Senate confirmations.
Should be a slam dunk.

Trump’s support of Putine just reveals who he is and I believe that many of his supporters have now an opportunity to opt out and call it a day.

Those supporters who won’t simply refuse to see the world as it is and to see their leaders as it is.

Confusing facts with fake news while accepting fake news as facts, strangely given up on their intelligence in favor of submission to a cult. Talk about freedom…

Seeing themselves as strong while all their behavior shows is weakness.

Claiming to hope for law and order when they support unlawful actions.

Why does Trump support Putine? Probably because he is being black mailed like he already was when he was President, possibly because he sees a world conflict as an opportunity to stay out of jail, probably because of his policy to never admit any mistake,… who cares about the why in front of such deeds?

The video below from Vox was released a few days ago. It provides interesting insights into why such a large percentage of conservatives have rejected vaccination.

Thanks very much for that. You wonder why various conservative leaders would encourage policies that literally kill their own supporters. More cult than politics, isn't it.

Wrong. At the end of his term Trump's approval was 34%. The lowest on record, by the way.

If you want to quote statistics, then you might want to look at the NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll which reports only 39% 37%, as of Feb 27 approval rate for Biden, while 56% said Biden's first year in office was a failure. What's more, 54% said he's not fulfilling his campaign promises, and 52% said he has done more to divide the country than unite it, despite uniting the country being a pillar of Biden's 2020 presidential run.

https://www.dw.com/en/germanys-reversal-on-ukraine-weapons-policy-response-to-putins-aggression/a-60932652

If you don't know, I was never Trump's fan. But the alarming fact is that Trump's election numbers in 2016 were higher than his polls before his election or after his term. Even more alarming is that he is now planning to run again in 2024 as a presidential candidate.

EDIT:
Biden's approval number sank another 2% from a few days ago.

Quote
President Joe Biden's approval rating hit a new low of 37 percent in a poll released Sunday that also showed 10 percent more American adults would prefer Republicans control Congress than Democrats. More than half – 55 percent – of adults disapprove of Biden's job so far just days before the president is set to deliver his first State of the Union address. Seven percent say they have no opinion.

Of the 37 percent who approve, only 20 percent say they 'strongly approve' while of the 55 percent disapproval, 44 percent strongly disapprove, according to the new ABC News/Washington Post poll taken February 20-24.

It simply goes to show that the two party system in the US needs to evolve into something better. Life isn’t about good or bad. It never was and never will. Especially when good and bad are both obviously very similarly wrong…

One party is openly giving up on democracy under the leadership of Trump, a person who is obviously under the influence of Putine, a guy shaping out to be the successor of the worst dictator in modern history.

The other party couldn’t come up with anyone better than Biden.

Lobbies control the policies through the funding of parties. What is called corruption in every other democratic country in the world is legal in the US. Why would citizens not want this to change?

The right direction isn’t towards less democracy as exemplified by Trump, Putine and China, it’s towards more democracy.

Agreed, Bernard. My perspective is that America is mired in dysfunction caused by an antiquated political system and capitalist corruption.

Biden is a prime example of the former.  Boeing is prime example of the latter.

Trump should be tried for the crime of attempted democracide.
