Printer paper roundup?
« on: October 03, 2020, 10:56:17 pm »

I haven't done any printing is several years but I'm thinking about it again.

Is there any sort of roundup out there that would get me up to speed on whatever is new and amazing in the world of papers? I currently have a Canon ipf8400 but would be willing to consider a new (smaller) printer if that would make a major difference.

Thanks,

Hahnemuhle has introduced photo rag metallic, a fine art gloss in 2018,  beautiful with the right images. Also their natural line hemp and agave added (last year) to the already available bamboo. Hemp and Agave are very nice fine art matte papers.
Expect some more new papers, as it has been otherwise very quiet.

I thoroughly recommend reading Mark Segal's articles here on LuLa.

Darin,

Here’s Freestyle Photo’s catalog of injet paper supplies.  You’ll find a listing of every currenly available inkjet paper with Eric Joseph’s evaluation of characteristics.
