Wheat & The Elandskloof Mountains
« on: September 24, 2020, 06:24:55 am »

The "Swartland" (black land) derived its name from the blackness of the local vegetation, "Renosterbos", (rhino bush) in the hot, dry summer months.

There is very little Renosterbos left these days...it is now wheat, wine and canola - but it is still lovely!

We are about an hour away from Cape Town, South Africa.
