LR remaing not working

I recently  installed LR latest update and now the remaning function is not working properly.

I want to keep the name I gave the image upon import and add to it a custom text.  The result wipes out all  the original name except the number of the original and removes the rest of what I entered, and then adds the custom text.

How I can I fix this?

Post a screenshot of your renaming dialog box.

Here are the originalfile names, resultatnt file name and the rename dialogue box

You have to select "Filename", not "Original Filename".

Original filename is the name of the file before you import into LR (usually as it comes out of the camera) and is kept in the database even if you rename during import.
