Nice and perfectly timed shots. The fauna seems similar to what I've seen around the lakes and rivers. Do you also have cormorans? Lately, heron numbers are on the rise.

Thanks François. At that place there is a group of three to five cormorans. On the other shore usually. That's a quieter place, free  from humans :-)
Sometime ago they were hunted (they competed with humans for fish) but now they are protected and the population grows.
As for the herons, there are also some around.

Herons have been culled until maybe 20 years ago and now the population is increasing.
Here's a (not so great) shot of a small island that looks covered with frost but in fact it's only heron's droppings! The stench is not that pleasant if the wind blows in the "right" direction!
