Thanks,

Normally, I would have shot this at 30 sec, f/8, ISO 400 as a RAW/JPEG FINE so I could extract the color data through channel swapping. However, I was set up for another shoot, so I modified the time, ISO and Aperture feeling that since I was dealing with an IR filter and not a modified camera, I could cheat the system. More tweaking yet to do, but love the reaction of the movement in relation to the fixed objects.

It works for me!

And me.

I really should treat myself to a screw on infrared filter, but which one should I buy?? Any suggestions anyone?

I'm using the HOYA R72

Thanks for that Chris, but after looking at the Hoya R72 with a 77mm thread at £85, I thought I would look at their 82mm version so I could still use it on my old 77mm filter mount 16-35 zoom lens at 16mm, but with a step up ring that I already own so it wouldn't vignette so much (which all filters do on this old lens unless I get the 82mm variant) and for that filter size they wanted an eye watering £150 - so a bit of a surprisingly large jump in price there I think. So I found this one at SRB Photographic which is the same level and type of filtration, but with an 82mm thread and so I bought that one instead and it was only £29.95.

I have bought quite a bit of stuff from SRB over the years and it has always been good, so worth a try at that price I thought, but anyway, thanks again for the info  ;)

My 82mm wasn't quite that much even considering the conversion amount, but it was still quite pricey...I take good loving care of it.
