iMac and Eizo CX241 on OS Catalina

I am looking to upgrade my 2013 iMac from Mojave to Catalina and have an attached Eizo CX241.
I have been calibrating my iMac with Datacolor Spyder 4 Elite and the Eizo with ColorNavigator 7 and the Spyder 4.
The Spyder 4 will not work with either application on Catalina apparently.

So looking for recommendations on which way to go, please.

No pressing reason at the moment, but once you get two versions behind you tend to miss out on security updates and some features.
At the moment I am clearing space on the internal drive and will set up a second partition so that I can dual boot.
I have tried VMWare and have Mojave running in a window under Mohave and that works for apps, but any peripherals require that they be supported by the host OS and Spyder 4 has a 32 bit driver.

That's weird - typically the application accesses USB peripherals via the system USB drivers, so if the VM can run the (32) bit app, it should work.
- i.e. an application can install a USB system driver on OS X if it really wants to, but typically there is no need.
