One from Northeast Thailand
« on: April 26, 2020, 10:47:07 am »

Neil's fabulous shots of the White Temple (Wat) in Northern Thailand reminded me of this one from Ubon Ratchathani in 1964. The White Temple is stunning but this one is more my style.

The detail in the wood carvings on these old Wats is great to explore.
I briefly lived across the alley from Wat Chiang Man in the walled old town of Chiang Mai and used to spend hours just looking.

Thanks all. I never was able to find out how old that wat was, but it was very old. As you can see, there's a new wat behind it. I have a picture of that one too, which I'll add to this post if I remember tomorrow morning.
