I don't think she's getting the VP pick anymore.

Gretchen, helping turn Michigan back to red in 2020.

You know Ive been watching the howls from the left about Trump saying he would be the one to open up the country.

It's genius.  In one fell swoop the destoyed the argument that he should and could have closed down the country eariler.  All the smucks going nuts now took the bait hook line and sinker.

Genius.

Fox News quotes the Washington Post. It's Fake News to both pro-Trumpers and anti-Trumpers alike.

Twice the value.

No, wait...  Half the value.

True, but I think the video at the news conference was even better.  He pretty much got the news media to admit that their own words were fake news.  That one was pretty good.

Unless you or Manoli elaborate, that is simply ridiculous. He died 10 years before Trump was elected.

No, I found him pretty calm.

I found the press acting deranged and not able to handle hearing how contradictory they have been.

But don't worry, now with that Obama endorsement, which took every other candidate dropping out first before Biden receiving it, Uncle Joe should on the path.   That's Obama real face during the presser btw; just oozes confidence.

(Bold mine)

Quote
On March 23rd, Gretchen Whitmer, who is the governor of Michigan, announced it was going to be necessary to lock down her state during the coronavirus outbreak and she explained why she was doing it. Here's what she said.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer: Without additional aggressive measures, soon, our hospitals will be overwhelmed, and we don't currently don't even have enough beds, masks, gowns and ventilators.

We must work together to bend the curve. We must do more to curtail community spread so our health system has a fighting chance.

Today, I'm issuing a stay home, stay safe executive order
.

Ok, so not to overwhelm the hospitals. So far so good.

But...

Quote
So, two weeks later, what's happened? Well, Michigan's health care system has not collapsed. Even in Detroit, which is as you likely know, has seen one of the worst coronavirus outbreaks anywhere in the nation.

Many hospitals in Michigan are now discharging more coronavirus patients than they're admitting. In fact, an emergency hospital under construction outside Detroit has slashed its bed count from 1,000 to just 250. Why? The expected number of patients failed to arrive.

That would explain why Michigan doctors are spending more time on LuLa than in hospitals  ;)

Sorry Alan, this is political, came across these two articles on politico.com today.

Some states don't know how to get supplies, https://www.politico.com/news/2020/04/13/states-baffled-coronavirus-supplies-trump-179199. Should this be happening?

Politico is also providing reports that Trump may be playing favourites with some states, https://www.politico.com/news/2020/04/14/democrats-donald-trump-coronavirus-184382. Should this be happening?

Maybe, but that is besides the point. I was questioning the meaning, implied or otherwise, of the puzzling question Manoli asked. Given the formulation, it implies that Miloshevic didn't like Trump. Well, that is one possible logical conclusion. I am sure Manoli could point out another.

I love these stories so lets get the meat of it.  So they didn't get the amount of suppiles they asked for?  Ok.  But did they really need what they requested? Montana for example had less than 200 cases as of the 12th.  How much stuff od they really need?  Kansas?  Less than 600 cases as of the 12th.  So these states dont even have the gear in their own inventory to cover this limited number of cases?  And thats somehow Trumps fault?

Colorado? They have a larger outbreak and it would be interesting to see exactly what the Feds have sent them.  The article says 100 vents.  How many did they already have and did htey really need more?  Or were they being just like Coumo and asking for tons more than they really needed. And of course the bigger question...did anyone who needed a vert not get one?

Once again, we are basing our plans off of an unknown, namely anything to do with the virus.

I'd rather make plans based on our known, that the economy will be destroyed.

Even after 12 years of being in business, it still never ceases to amazes me how easily most get paralyzed by the fear of the unknown.  You make decisions on what you know, not what you cant learn or figure out.

Joe, this article, in a very level-headed way, discusses a lot of what seems to concern you, the conflict between "Team Health' and 'Team Economy".... please read before drinking a bottle of champagne...!

That's the problem with doctors. Due to the God Complex, they think they are entitled to pontificate on everything else, outside their very narrow area of expertise.

See how easy is to push your buttons, I didn't even try that hard. Two can play this game. I know I will fail with your education but morally I had to embark in this sisyphic mission. And relax, I have less God complex than most, I did this just to annoy you.
FYI, nobody here is really an expert at most of the points discussed.

You continue to fail understanding basic concepts, again and again. Newsflash, as most people I have more time off than I work. You should spend a day in Detroit area hospitals before making dumbass comments, it's a war zone there. I know that you feel invulnerable right now because you had it, survived and now you think you won't get it again, so who cares about the rest, let them die. They are seeing some flattening, yes, but because of the current measures.

Regarding the Serbs loving Trump, maybe your circle. Although I did meet Serbs in Florida who hated Hillary, pure raw hate. I didn't understand what's up with that, it took me a while to figure it out: they actually hated Bill for the NATO bombings and that never went away.

Maybe he did not have the authority to lock down a state...but he sure could have been a leader in convincing the people that this was the only plan they had to fight the outbreak. You know...what a real leader does...not contradict the experts...not fight with the states...actually LEAD.

Come on now.  Trump really likes to have some Trump and the media really likes some media.  Trump just recognizes this and is playing it back at them.

I think Andrew Cuomo said it best yesterday on a radio show when he said he no longer has any interest in what he does professionally.  And by that he specifically said the hyper partisanship and going out of the way to make certain politicians sound bad.

Yes...he loves to hear himself talk. Maybe it's time he steps out of his "made for TV show" and get to leading this country through this crisis. IE: Do his fucking job.

He did lead and he continues to do so.  He offered some semblance of hope when everyone was only talking doom.  He allowed and continues to allow the experts of offer up thier opinions and sugestions daily, often hours at a time.

Just like States do not give him free reign over the internal problems of a state, neither do they have to right to demand the the President bail them out.

I think that was his brother Chris.  Today he says he never said, did'nt mean that despite tape showing he did....
