Bloomberg, today:
"In all, 1,033 Swedes have died from Covid-19, official figures showed on Tuesday. Though still well below fatality rates in Italy and the U.K., it’s far worse than in any of the Nordic countries with which Sweden usually compares itself. The Swedish mortality rate is almost 10 times higher than in Finland, more than four times higher than in Norway, and twice Denmark’s."
A few pertinent questions, compared to Sweden, how much international commerce is performed in Norway and Finland? How many people actually visit Sweden vs how many visit Finland/Norway?
I ask because although I have heard of Stockholm, I do not recognize any city in either Norway or Finland. Could it be that Sweden has a higher rate of business visitors then either Finland and Norway with that being the main reason Sweden is worse then the other two?
It really appears like international travel has a great effect on this outbreak.
As I said before, you are retired, probably fully own your house, and have a higher savings then the vast majority of those who have been out of work. You really cant relate to any of them at this point. They want to get back to work. You can stay inside if you want, but I'll be damn if I let this virus take me out financially.
