It reminds me of the sci-fi book and movie, "The Day the Earth Stood Still".  It was a great fun movie but this isn't fun.  This is really scary.

Great series of pix; thanks for posting them. Thinking back to the 50s, the human race has clearly evolved more in the interim than it did in the past few thousand years. Michelin was on to something.

There was a time when I was shooting malls commercially. Less street-like, less whimsical, given the client constraints, but I still hope some esthetics shows through.
