"textbook definition of a racist comment."He continually generalizes foreigners - specifically brown foreigners - with negative stereotypes and assumes that certain brown congresspeople aren't "from here."
He was a driving force of the Obama "birther" nonsense, and despite a $41 million settlement refuses to believe that the "Central Park 5" were actually
innocent.Then there's his 1973 DoJ suit alleging housing discrimination, and so on.
Look, it's a common misconception that "racism" means that someone can't have a "black friend," or if they put a minority in a position of authority (like Ben Carson) that that's proof positive that, hey, they CAN'T be racist. That's not how it works. How's he racist? He makes judgments and assumes negative outcomes based on race.
