Lightroom will not open photo to Photoshop
« on: December 27, 2019, 09:35:30 pm »

Photoshop CC 2020 (latest version) was acting buggy, and in spite of disabling the graphics card and uninstalling and reinstalling, it continues to be unusable. Someone suggest creating a New User and seeing if it works, there, and it does, even with the graphics card turned on. I am trying to migrate my workflow for LR and Photoshop to the New User because I cannot find the problem with Photoshop in my Administrator User. Now I have a new problem. In the New User, when I am in Lightroom (latest version) and attempt to Photo/Edit/Open in Photoshop CC 2020, I get this message: "Lightroom was unable to prepare the selected file at /Volumes/Backup/ Photographs/ xx(photo file name)". I have thrown away the Photoshop plist file and that didn't help. Photoshop is a new version, just re installed. I am using a Mac Pro 2013 with OS 10.14.6.  LR and Photoshop are on my boot drive in a Shared Folder. My photos live on an external driver named "Backup". Any help would be appreciated!

Problem solved. I had to fiddle with the permissions for the Backup 1 drive.
