Presets & Luts
« on: November 18, 2019, 06:31:11 am »

Hello everyone,
I have been using LR for many years, one problem that exists is how many presets you load, which slows down the LR on opening.
Is there any solution to this, or is it best to load the minimum preset at startup?
Another issue, today there is a huge amount of presets on the internet, a lot of crap, what are the best presets you consider today.
Preset reviews are very poorly made and since presets are something people end up copying and changing names, they devalue the work of those who have done something really good and serious.
Thank you for nominating good companies that deliver good presets.

Presets are awesome. The ones YOU make to produce the desired rendering YOU wish.

Exactly. They serve mostly as a starting point I suppose. Personally I like to start from scratch but I see the use for those you make yourself.

I agree with Martin.

I think the answer that works for you can come only when you are in touch with the degree to which you enjoy developing your images yourself vs. the “look” and time saving that is possible using presets as starting points or ends.
