How much fun it will be to import hundreds or more 20+ megapixel raws onto an iPad.
Yes, if users try to completely replicate their desktop/laptop workflow on a tablet, it could get interesting to say the least.
How I utilize my iPad Pro for location work on smaller volume assignments is I usually only import subsets of the shoot to the tablet rather than the entire card(s) ... then I make final selects, crop, rotate bump contrast, tone and color balance as needed ... caption and send to clients via FTP.
Unfortunately, I currently don't use Lr Mobile for those assignments due to three reasons: 1. The double import issue that may soon be rectified with this sneak peek update. 2. The lack of peer-to-peer syncing over LAN from Lr Mobile to Lr/LrClassic ... don't see the need to get bogged down in transferring images over hundreds, if not thousands of miles to share between devices than may be within very close proximity. 3. Batch FTP export from Lr Mobile like I have been doing in Lr Classic since v2 (and can do currently with a $6 iOS app).
So far, Adobe has come up with one item on the list ... hoping it won't take too many years to achieve the latter two items ... (yes, I understand they are niche items)
