On the subject old school (literally) writing tools, today I needed ink for my fountain pens. It comes from the same place as one-edged razors: the art supply shop.

Personally I find you can't beat a quill to write with.  When the tip wears, I just nip down to the shore and pick up one shed by the plentiful gulls.  None of this new-fangled fountain pen rubbish.... :)

Absolutely, Jim. The fountain pen never should have been invented, and the pencil? An abomination.

After the EMP apocalypse, I will write with a sharp stick using my own blood. In beautiful cursive of course.

Sadly, soon after the various plates of global spaghetti hit the fan, you won't be doing much of anything, and neither will anyone else.

But hey, that will be rung up as the very best deal of them all, won't it? It could mark our collective headstone.
