Larches abound in my neck of the woods.  You've nailed the colour perfectly, Scott.
Either this image is from last year, or it's at significant elevation.  We're at 2000 feet and we don't see that stage until November.

Like the image. The larches turn a color that is hard to describe but may to love. Are these in the Cascades?
