Where do you live that you can encounter and post such varied landscapes -  from grand to farm fields? You don't have to tell us exactly, just the area, if that is OK.

SW Michigan, but I do travel and I reached a point in my photography skills where I can get pretty good shots if the conditions present themselves. My recent trip in the Rockies was quite fruitful and that's where most of my recent shots are coming from.
Next level is to look more actively for the right conditions and then, and this is a big maybe, try to go beyond good.

Agreed!
Photos like this are the best thing about the smoke this summer.

I like the high-key vs low-key contrast of this landscape. The moon is a plus, of course.
Bravo!

Thanks!
This is one of my favorite landscape light phenomena, where the curve of the hillside and the angle of the light make for illuminated flora over shaded ground.
It pops so nicely, it's irresistible! I also envisioned it as a mono image right away. Perfect candidate.

I'd be curious to see the color version, but I don't expect it to have the excitement of the monochrome.

Here's a color one. Not bad but also not as good IMO.
