Unreal street
« on: July 28, 2019, 07:18:00 am »

Sopot, Poland.

Sopot is a rather posh Baltic coast location, certainly not for everyone, average peoples would go to Władysławowo, with more typical PRL style accommodation.

This photo is about an old man who need some extra money to make his retirement livable. He walks the street in an old ragged Santa costume and a plastic violin as prop in the hope to collect some money in return for a selfie.
Older peoples pose with him and give him a few bucks, younger peoples however lost this sense of life and have another perception of the on going.

A highly sinister scene...I love it!

Ivo, I couldn't give a rat's arse or not if this is Street, but I like it.

Ditto.

(But to me it is, indeed, "real Street.")   ;)

(P.S. So what!)

If it's posted in Street Showcase, it's best to give a rat's arse, Keith.

Good stuff. Love the composition "on the edge," with a vast emptiness in-between (the characters and generations). Symbolic.

Good shot, Ivo!

Sopot is a delightful city.  My girlfriend lives in neighboring Gdynia and we walk the beach to Sopot whenever I visit.  Did you visit the Spativ when you were in Sopot?  Hard to describe, need to have experienced the pub.  Almost just as it was in the 70s - 80s.  Gdańsk, the third wonderful city of the "Tri-Cities" along the Baltic.

We spent time on Hell and did a tour on a rented bike to Gdańsk. We walked over the beach to Gdynia.
From the Baltic coast we went to the home of my wife near Warszawa and then we stayed 2 weeks in the Tatra. I love the country.
