Yes. Photoshop, Lightroom, and Camera Raw are incredible tools.

I didn't, Russ. The first is pretty much uncropped. The second is a stitch of two images: the first, and one I took a few minutes later from the same place, but panned to the right and with a rather wider zoom (35mm against 45mm). I was rather surprised at how good a job LR did of the stitch.
