"Room For Rent"
Does the composition of this work? Aside from the mystery that I am hoping the title evokes, the subject is the geometry; in particular the small shapes created by the latticework and window panes. Any other C&C appreciated as well. Thank you.

For me it would work better if you eliminated most of the concrete slab in the foreground, which dominates tha composition.
Perhaps a square cropping would include some of the slab as well as all of the slats and windows that are now visible.

I "cropped" it that way on my screen, and liked the result.

Thank you Eric!! What an improvement. Much stronger. I knew I liked the concrete lines and subconsciously knew it bothered me too.

Yes, this last version is better balanced, more pleasing!

i would cut off the bottom portion further  to eliminate the slab line heading toward the camera. Then the other slab line picks up the stairway lines and emphasizes them.

Like so? Or leave a little more lead in to create more of a zig-zag? If this is what you were suggesting I like it, but I am missing the zig-zagging movement. Opinions? Thanks to everyone for your thoughts, -t

I prefer a bit of zigzag, like your previous version.
