Palouse prism

I'm thinking of entering this in an open contest. Thoughts and critiques would be much appreciated.

It's nice, but looks way over-saturated IMO. You can tell just by the rainbow.

I also agree about the saturation but boy is it eye catching and that's probably very important if the judges are just shown the image projected on screen and have to make a snap decision in 2 or 3 seconds in early judging rounds.

The problem will come when they give it greater scrutiny in later rounds I expect so maybe toning the rainbow down might be wise.

Yes, it's eye catching but not in a positive way.  Tone it down and it should be fine.

I agree with my predecessors, a really fascinating image, but needs saturation control. Well done!

Of course there's always a B&W conversion?

I took the liberty of adjusting  your image...Somewhere in this area?

once the red cast was removed, the rainbow contrasts nicely.

Gentlemen, Thank you for your comments. Peter I toned it down following your example but didn't go as far with it as you did. Critiques were very helpful. Sometimes i get buried in the process of creating drama and it doesn't appear overwhelming until someone points it out. Thanks again all.
