Monitor calibration
« on: July 01, 2019, 11:20:52 am »

My wife is getting seriously into photography, and bought a pair of large, high-end Dell monitors. I thought she could use the NEC program Spectraview, which I use, for her calibration. But it seems that is only for NEC monitors. What are suggestions for another calibration program she can use with her Dells? And an X-rite I-1 puck?

Nope, you can only use SpectraView on an NEC display. Buy her one  :D
You could try DisplayCal.

Dell has its own hardware calibration program for their high-end monitors. It's a customized version of i1Profiler, so it only works with x-rite instruments.
