The SW coast of Portugal is blessed with (still) well preserved and pristine beaches, cliffs, and landscape. South of Odeceixe, and until Sagres, we are already in Algarve, but this is a different part of the well known touristic region.
Colder waters, and windier days, plus being a Natural Reserve, have so far hindered massive tourism from ruining this part of the country.
Arrifana is one of my favourite beaches in the area. A protected cove of fine golden sands, backed by the cliffs. These shots were made on May 1st, and coincided with my "beach season" inauguration (the water was still pretty cold). I waited for sunset to make a few photos.
