This is about medical products like TYSABRI, a treatment for MS.

We have to remember that for almost every camera maker, the great majority of their business is not “consumer” photography — and in most cases, the growth area is medical. Nikon is the only one I know of with photography as its biggest sector. Olympus is the only other one with optical devices as most of its business, but they are mostly endoscopes, microscopes and such.

Fujifilm is into all kinds of stuff. It was smart and long-term-aware, unlike Kodak, and parlayed its film-derived chemical expertise into other realms like cosmetics and biological research. Thus this purchase of Biogen's Denmark Manufacturing unit.

Yes; somewhat ironically the name Fujifilm still makes sense because it still makes lots of films, just not so much for coating with light-sensitive chemicals.
