Thanks Mark. The depreciation, I take it, is based on CRA rules of 20% over 5 years. I expect with my light use to extend the life of my P800 to 7 or 8 years as I did the same for my HP B9180. (Now I just have to survive that long  ;D ) Bottom line: As long as I keep my prints (A3+/A2) at or below the CAD $10 range, I can justify my hobby.

No, nothing to do with Canadian tax collectors - that's another world. My depreciation calculation is based on my expectation for how long I'm likely I am to keep a printer before trading it for a newer model - i.e. its technological life in my hands, which I situate with some reference to past history at three years, but my formula is structured to stretch it on a rolling basis if that assumption turns out to be incorrect and I were to keep it longer.
