Low end mfdb upgrade
« on: October 28, 2006, 05:06:13 am »

Hi all.

A year ago this month I bought a used eyelike m6 multishot back (on mamiya 645) as I wanted to transfer from film to digital. I am now really enjoying the digital format even with such a small chip size back, the problem is that not all my clients want digital files, they prefer transparencies still. This was a surprise to me as the eyelike was only really going to be a stop gap until I was familiar to digital and really knew what type of back I was going to need i.e single shot or multishot.

So the question is that I would like to upgrade the back but don't want to spend a fortune on a new back until maybe next year after some newer clients come along who prefer digital and I can recoup the outlay.

I'm looking for peoples advice on routes I could take, many thanks for any help or advice.
