thank you for your chronicle. I am curious how many cleanings did it require? Did you consider using piezoflush? I am thinking of buying a used p800 that will need some work.

Bwana - what kind of "work"? I would be very wary of such a purchase without a careful understanding of this printer's usage history and the prospects for bringing it back to normal.

Actually i didn't get into it much but the seller said it needed some cleaning cycles and an intermittent issue with one of the colors clears up. Perhaps his vagueness is a warning sign in and of itself. He said he hasn't printed with it for 'a while' (months) but that mechanically 'it's fine'. It's from an online search so i cannot go see the printer in person. Prob best to avoid the hassle - and waste of ink if it doesn't work doing a bunch of power cleaning .
