Where could this go? Some speculate on Apple shifting to using its own species of ARM-based chips in macOS computers, but maybe devices like iPads and even high-end big screen phones will simply add the software capabilities to replace notebook computers for most tasks. Adding a good optional keyboard and track-pad is not a huge technical challenge.

One of the main reasons I prefer using a tablet nowadays is that it's just easier on my hands. Tapping on a virtual keyboard beats pressing actual keys when dealing with a surgically-repaired (carpal tunnel "release"), tendonitis-prone right hand. The long battery life is another plus.
