Using 4x5 crop on Z7 with 24-70 S lens, you basically get the full sharpness across the frame:)
Although 4x3 crop is not available in camera, but would be sufficient to crop away any corner softness, leaving 40.3 MP sharp* image

And most lenses used throughout the history of landscape photography had soft corners... We just didn't pixel (or grain) peep into the corners as hard, and we often covered them with the mat board!

I found that simply adding a bit of clarity and saturation to the corners of 24-70 S lens restores them sufficiently to the desired appearance.
