As I understand it the 5 year care pack is actually only for 4 years, am I correct?
1 year free warranty with purchase and the additional 4 years which makes 5.
I have seen several prices and am just trying to clarify. With the low price of this printer not quite sure if it makes sense to spend several thousand on this purchase.
What are others doing?

Never had a care pack. Repaired them myself and that rarely. On the other hand spare parts were available everywhere which may not be as easy in the future.

Met vriendelijke groet, Ernst

  • it’s not about the photos we take - it’s the ones we leave

I have the 5 year care pack on the 4th Z3200ps we have.  Got it to ensure parts and inks,  plus printhead availability for sure.  Correct, the first year of warranty is absorbed by the 5 year CP.

I believe it has to be purchased within a certain short time frame after buying the printer.
After that, the most you can buy is a three year CP.

I bought mine from HP directly - think it was around 2K.  It was a lot, and even though I can take the printer apart down to the frame and put it back together working as new, I prefer to have a tech come when needed if I am busy on other projects.

Everyone has different approaches with these printers - before this last one, I always did the work myself, and I still do on the previous three. As EOL approaches, it’s just extra insurance for me.

Best,

Mark

Thanks Mark and Ernst.
As I am still chewing away at the 10,000ml of Epson K3 OEM ink that was purchased for less then .10 a ml this is not my primary 44" printer.
So not really sure yet how much use it will get. Just had to buy it for the cheap price and see what all the hullabaloo is about.
