I can see you are teasing

This image is about 34 years old and comes from a Velvia 50 or 100 iso slide film. No doubt Velvia boosted the colours. I won't forget that morning, because I have yet to see another like it. It started as blood red, then pinkish, then yellow, and I have the slides to prove it.

Very pleasing shot, Rand.

(OTOH, if you look at the three figures' body language, you get the distinct idea that boats bring as much pain as joy.)

Thanks . . . You’re right. I sat there for quite a while (from just before sunrise) and this particular shot, with the figures in opposition and with the single sailboat mast separating their approach direction, put a strange tension into the image that I liked. “Two happiest days in a boat owners life - the day he buys it - the day he sells it.”

Sunrise over Eastern Ave and Gardiner Expressway, Toronto. This was taken as part of HDR outing so that we could learn what it was all about. I have muted colours, but could probably mute them more. I gave up on HDR except when doing windows.
