Really, it's a creature from Hans Giger. A good catch!

A jpeg straight out of the camera. The sunlit foreground combined with the dark shady back allowed this image to be super contrasty and vivid. Two ICM exposures on one frame made this look like flames bursting out.

Those of you of you closer to Toronto may recognize the scene on Mississauga Road in the heart of Caledon Hills, just north of the city. Best colours I have seen in 15 years.

Sometimes I am able to make something out of harsh light. Like this shot which looks like backlight but is in reality direct harsh sunlight on a birch against deep shadows. Not too bad effect.

Trembling aspens!
Well why not! But here is something decidedly not trembling, but rather peaceful.

I can almost hear the sound of this man shuffling through the dead leaves…
The second and added shot is also super nice, with those warm colors and just enough movement.

Rockway Conservation, Oct 27-22. Playing with selective colour. In this case yellow and green were retained.

I like this one a lot with the tentacular roots.
Perfectly composed and processed!
