First, I went up the creek without a paddle and got the two above. Then I went down the creek after being rescued and here is the result 8)

Making the ugly look beautiful... Sometimes algae looks deceptively beautiful. Due to a long and protracted hot summer it is flourishing and trapping all the debris and waste of the aquatic animals and birds and looks quite ugly. Despite that, it makes for a striking contrast which caught my eye.

A high contrast bw treatment that I learned from a seminar by Cole Thompson, via Zoom, sponsored by my camera club. Though I like some of it, I don't think it suits me as much. Works good for this image which was taken through my car window while at a long stop. We call these the Marilyn Monroe buildings.
