OLympus-21mm f3.5...opinions of??
« on: July 03, 2018, 12:34:43 pm »

I've took out my old Olympus f3.5 manual focus lens, and I'd like to use it on my Canon 5DII?
Can any of the learned members, give me some feedback/opinions ,on this lens?
I'll be using it with a photodiox,adapter
How would you guys rate it?
Any help will be greatly appreciated-

Thanks,
Pikeys

Soft around the frame edges unless well stopped down, prone to flare but can give a nice old fashioned 'glow' to images. It's main benefit is it's small size. If you already have one then there is nothing to loose by trying it. I wouldn't waste a lot of cash on an expensive adapter for it as it will work just as well on a cheap ebay one as long as you calibrate the infinity stop

When I had the 5D2 I used that lens for interiors and landscapes. The image quality was good. Then I switched to Sony and tested it on the a7r2....did not look good. I think you will be fine on the 5d2....test.
