New Rantatorial - My Mom My Hero
« on: May 29, 2018, 08:48:14 am »

I just published a new rantatorial.  I should do more of these.  A little over a week ago my mom passed away.  I wouldn't be here running this site, or even having the incredible life I have had if it wasn't for my mom.  I share a small bit of this and a small tribute to my mom.  You can read it HERE

I really appreciated being able to take time out of my day to read this. A great tribute and a reminder of growing up riding bicycles without helmets and having parents who support your dreams. Fantastic and thanks for sharing.

That is a beautiful story, Kevin. Thanks for ahring it with us.

Much of the time while reading it, I felt you must be talking about my Mom, who passed away last November.

The memories will be sustaining and nourishing for years to come.

Warm regards,
Eric

I can't add much to the sentiments already expressed except to say your essay brought tears to my eyes as I remembered spending my mom's last days with her seven years ago. They had similar attitudes and characteristics, from "go outside and play" to encouraging us to find the passion inside of ourselves, and my mom too was an artist, oils, supporting herself and us kids for thirty years. Anyway, what you wrote about your mom was indeed quite lovely.
Condolences to you and your family, Kevin.

Sorry about your loss, Kevin, but your Mom was clearly a special lady, and that is something you will never lose.

 Kevin,

I just read this and wanted to say what lovely words. I'm sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I've decreased my social media life drastically and regret that I miss these kinds of things. Nonetheless,  I wish you and your family peace.

Kevin,

What a sad time but what a lovely remembrance you posted. It sounds like you had a wonderful mom and family. That's about the best we can ask for in life. Nicely said and best wishes to you and your family now.
