Cityscape - Singapore skyline
« on: March 11, 2018, 11:13:27 pm »

Sunrise over Singapore from Marina Bay.

Stitched panorama using Sony A7r3, 24-70GM and Nisi ND filter.

Still in two minds about the shade of the blue - I'll probably tweak the white balance and saturation when I get home to a colour-calibrated monitor.

EDIT: fixed the blue

I have to admit so saturated and strong colours here works very well....
All the best,

I checked your image on my iPad (my ultimate gauge of color veracity on the web) and on my work computer (as horrific as they typically are) and it looks pretty good on both.

Indeed, strong but works well, given the futuristic look.

Nice Shot.  I can almost feel the heat and humidity.  Lived there for 3 years and really enjoyed it.  Hard to get a shot there with so little activity.  I remember it being an action packed environment.  Must have gotten up pretty early to get this shot.

Fixed the blue.

Yes, much better. The gold is more defined as well.

How is the new equipment working out for you?

I didn't see the original image but this one looks fine. The place looks very calm which must be a very different thing in reality.

There are some very distinct areas of high chroma purple/blue-purple on some of the building faces that are in shadow? Was this a result of the "blue color fix(es) you mentioned you applied? On the left side there are some areas with this very pronounced - then some of a near value without these intense colors? On the far right the tallest building has on its upper faces in shadow some fairly strong purple values as well.
