achieving extraordinary brightness?
« on: October 12, 2006, 06:55:25 pm »

hello,
i have a calibrated monitor that i use to prepare my images for printing. what i see on the screen is acceptably close to what prints on my epson 7800. i also have a laptop (dell M60) that even after hardware calibration is very "hot". i can't find any display control that will get the display to look like my desktop monitor. often when i load an image onto the laptop it looks a lot more like i would like to see the print. it's brighter, contrastier, i can see into the shadows and all the wet surfaces sparkle more. all the pictures are landscapes.
so, is there a way in photoshop to get the "excessivly bright monitor look"?
thanks,
vincent
