CaptureOne 10 not retaining edits...?
« on: January 20, 2018, 07:50:22 am »

Windows 10 x64

This has never happened to me before.

I edited files in three different folders.

I closed C1 (without saving the files to TIFF)

The next day I opened C1.

Some of the files show in the film-strip/thumbnails clearly with their edits intact.

But, when I click on some of them, they open with all edits zeroed out EXCEPT Linear Mode.

Other files in the same folder retain their edits.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

For the record:

I tried editing one of the problem files. I closed and reopened C1. Same problem; the edits were back to zero.

So, I clicked on the Reset All Edits at the top of the screen, for one of the problem files. I then made a few edits, and closed and reopened C1. The edits were still there.

So, resetting everything may have solved the problem. We shall see.

Check that you have the latest version of C1 10 (10.2.1 or newer). There was a similar issue with the prior version and the Fall Creators Update of Windows 10.

Francisco,

Thanks for the links.

Exactly what I experienced.

But, Reset Adjustments on All Selected Variants seems to solve the problem.

I'm running C1 10.2  - Build 10.2.0.74

If I go to Updates, there is no option to download a version 10.2.1 only version 11.0, which I don't want to upgrade to.

Worst case scenario, I will save out the TIFFs before closing the program.

I have submitted a Support ticket. Let's see what happens.

Thanks.

Update:

I found 10.2.1 in the Software Archive on the Phaseone website.

Hopefully, that's an end to my problems!

Thanks for your help.

Work heavily on a bunch of food shots yesterday.

Went back to them today.

None of the edits had been saved.

AFAIK, nothing in my setup has changed.

Royally p***ed off, I have to say.

Have you opened a support ticket with Phase One on their website?  they are very good at getting back to you within a day or so.

Every single case (100.0%) is answered within 24 hours. Most much more quickly.

Yes, thanks.

I've reopened my existing ticket from a few weeks ago. Waiting to hear back.

As you can see from the thread, this was a known problem - issues with the Windows Fall update.

But, I thought that installing 10.2.1 would solve it, and it appeared to.

Seems to be back again though.
