Canvas skew?
« on: November 23, 2017, 08:51:12 am »

Another novice canvas question for you... my second roll of Canson Infinity PhotoArt ProCanvas seems to have a skew problem. Looking at the fibers, the ones running the length of the paper look fine, but the cross fibers are askew significantly more than the first roll. Roughly, the cross fibers shift about 1" down moving across the 24" wide roll, which, if my math works out is about 2.4 degrees of skew. Additionally, the printer (Pro-4000) had a really hard time loading it reporting the paper was askew. I ended up unrolling a few meters and then re-rolling it by hand to get it to work, obviously this could introduce debris and I hate handling paper unnecessarily. Is this normal? Should I contact the vendor (IT Supplies)?

Edit: Despite getting the printer to accept the canvas my first print almost ran off the edge of the paper due to skew :-( Will try feeding again.
