Two weeks ago in White Sands, first time for the puppy Onyx (the black one). They all had a blast.

Looks like a great time! I've taken Luna to the Great Sand Dunes but we've never been to White Sands. One day...

The Great Sand Dunes (at least the ones near the border of NM) are cool, but no comparison to White Sands in size and awesomeness. But you don't want to go there in the summer and in fact, Winter is ideal for the afternoon.

Not having a pet I have to adopt others companions for brief periods of time, at least long enough to capture something hopefully evocative and or amusing.

I warmed up to 7 today after starting at -20. Plenty warm enough for Luna!

I love this one too. With the luminous snow, it's a very clean shot. Luna seems to be floating on snow…

Thanks! She does kind of float once she gets wound up which she was here. This snow is on a frozen pond and the flat wide open space with snow is one of her favorite conditions. Without the snow coating she refuses to set foot on the ice.
