Issues with 24" roll of Legacy Baryta scratches
« on: September 08, 2016, 05:00:09 pm »

Hello Gang!

So I've been printed with Epson Legacy Baryta on a 9890. Not much issues. I've found the Premium Luster260 setting puts down a nice amount of ink.

Now I'm near the end of the roll. Maybe last 10-12 feet. I'm noticing alot of scratches.

I'm printed for a customer in advanced BW. These have large full black backgrounds. No issues pro Ted I. The past.

Not sure if this is. Paper issue, printer?

I have some random 2-4" vertical scratches. Up and down facing the printer.

I have adjusted the paper thickness from .3mm to .5 and .6mm. I've played with the suction from middle to max settings. And the paper gap at wide, wider and widest.

I've had to throw out several expensive prints.

Then I had some nozzle check issues. In Maintenance mode I cleared ever nozzle. But I am still noticing horizontal patterns in the deep black. The 3 K inks are fine. Had an issue with the cyan and cleared that. I thought Advanced BW only used the 3 k inks anyway.

It's just not up to my standards.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Maxi
