BenQ SW2700PT Monitor - Price Reduction
« on: June 28, 2016, 06:21:58 pm »

Joshua Holko wrote a glowing review here on Lula 4 months ago about this monitor.  27", full Adobe RGB color space coverage, calibration software and monitor hood for US $690.  https://luminous-landscape.com/benq-sw2700pt-27-inch-adobe-rgb-monitor-review/    Keith Cooper of Northern Lights also wrote a very positive review of it.  You'd only need to provide your own calibration puck.

I just looked on Ben Q's web site and they are now selling this monitor for $600 and shipping options start at less than $10 (US).  This seems to be the easy value choice in photographer's monitors.  I'm currently using a 7 year old NEC 2690 that is definitely aging.  I'm thinking of getting the BenQ for the time, probably a few months or so in the future when it will be necessary to retire the NEC.  Does anyone else have any experience with this monitor?

The review at Tom's Hardware makes it look like you might not even need to calibrate it.
