Perijove #17 happened on December 21st. Here's a sequence of images from it, in "true" and "enhanced" versions, processed by Gerald Eichstädt, Brian Swift and Seán Doran. (The former two provide automated processing pipelines that Seán uses as starting points.)

Here's a Perijove #17 image, lightly processed by a fellow named Justin Cowart. "Taken from an altitude of 97,000 km over the south pole on December 21, 2018. The Great Red Spot is on the horizon, while the 'Little Red Spot', although devoid of color at this time, is passing immediately to its south."

Forgot to post this last week. It's off-topic: the full "best so far" LORRI image of MU69 (aka "Ultima Thule"). Once New Horizons re-emerges from behind the sun relative to us (should happen later today, I think) the NH team will start bringing back higher res images. Because the spacecraft is so far away from us now (over six light hours) retrieving data from the recent flyby is both trickier in technical terms and just takes longer than it did with Pluto. I do like the bonus stars in this pic.
