Shifting MF lenses on Sony A7r

My 40mm, 80mm, 120mm Hartblei Zeiss lenses are impeccable with large shifts (15+mm) on the A7r2. Sure, you need to stop down a little (I use them as f8 lenses, primarily) but they are really, really good. They are all based on the latest CFI Hasselblad incarnations (with all sorts of tweaks - improved coatings, increased # of aperture blades ) etc. The 40mm is simply spectacular, so I'm not sure about the other posters older copies. My other benchmark optical references are the Zeiss classic lenses (21,35, 50, 100) and longer telephotos from Canon (200 f2 and 300 f2.8 lenses included). The Hartblei Zeiss lenses (based on the latest Hasselblad designs) simply kick ass. Stopped down they are definitely in Otus territory.

The Hartblei/Zeiss 40 mm uses the Distagon 40/4 IF lens group, that is the most recent generation of the Distagon 40/4. A great improvement over it's predecessors.

The Contax 645 35mm f3.5 distagon seems to have as big image circle as any 6x6 lens and is also wider, ALPA has some examples with sifts of it on a P1 full frame sensor, I found that all Contax 645 lenses will work well with Sony A7, but if one requires to use both an MFDB and a FF mirror less on his camera, the Fuji GX 680 lenses are awesome for the purpose as the image circle of them is of 110mm for the 50mm/5.6 lens and can go up to 150mm of diameter with longer lenses. Awesome optics too.... I'm now converting a Rollei X-Act/2 so that will work with both MFDBs or mirrorless (on the same rear standard) and with MF lenses on the front standard, where the user will be able to control the aperture and the leaf shutter of electronic lenses via a universal external device that will control all electronic lenses.

For my own lenses, I choose the Fuji-GX680  210mm, 125mm, 80mm & 50mm, then the Contax 645 35mm and the Nikkor 24mm/3.5 PC-E (which doesn't allow shifts on my 37x49mm sensor but only with my α7) The Nikkor, I have converted to C645 mount so that it works on my Contax 645 too as a normal lens (again with full interface communication) so that I can use only two mounts on the front standard (C645 & Fuji GX-680).
