Keywords don't stay deleted

If I delete keywords from the Catalog Keyword Library, some of those keywords don't stay deleted.

Somehow, as I surf around my image library, they reappear assigned to images again and back in the Keyword Library.

Anyone else? Any clue why?

I have a confirmation back from Tech Support saying this is a verified bug.
