extremly Rare large format lens, less then 800 lenses were made.
This lens was made from Carl Zeiss West Gemany- not Jena!
special made for Linhof.
The lens was very expensive at the time of production and is still a special lens.
This Tessar have new and different design as any Tessars made before.
Zeiss used for this lens for the first time a special new MC coated glass from Schott.
The name MC or T* coating was not existing at this time afcourse.
It is the only one Tessar lens ( inkl Tessar and Tessar design like Schneider Xenar)
that is Multicoated. After this lens Zeiss made the very known Biogon 75, planar 135 mm and sonnar 250 mm for Linhof also.
The lens is a part of my collection, the glass is in great shape, no scratches, clear and clean.
The Compur shutter is cleaned and perfect working.
