I like the light, textures, and composition.

I've never been able to venture into the GSD national monument and this shot makes me want to go there.
Well done!

PS: in fact, I've tried to visit the GSN NM four or five times but weather was always really really bad with wind, heavy rain, etc…

Paulo & Francois...Thank you for your complements.
Francois...The GSD has been established as a National Park since 2004. It's a remarkable place and many photography opportunities. I went there only a couple of times due to distance and busy life. I plan to spend more time there. If you've had a chance, you should spend few days there.

Best regards,

Nice textures and composition.

I love the GSD! It's about three hours from here and I've been a bunch of times. Come to think of it I'm probably due for a trip as I haven't been in the last couple of years.
I've been there during a wind storm and it was brutal!
It's especially nice when the creek is flowing like that. Great for kids to play in and some good composition material. We like to stay at Joyful Journey hot springs up the road as the campsite at the park is often a bit crowded for my tastes.

Thanks very much Matt. I love this place. I found out October is very nice, cool and no crowd.

Good to know! I too tried to go there twice but the weather didn't work out. It's only a few hours away and it's on my bucket list.
Been to White Sands twice, amazing. November/December there is cool and no crowds either.

Good tonality on black and white, works very well. On my bucket list too.

Thanks very much Nancy & Andrew for your kind!
It's very easy to take good photography here, especially B&W.

Lovely tones and composition, well-represented in B&W.

I'm curious, perhaps because I'm not "getting it", but what are you trying to say with this photograph?

Terry... Thanks for the comment.
No massage :) Just thought the foreground of logs was very interesting.
